Opening Keynote

The New Frontier, Managing Enterprise Risk in a Technology Driven World  

Kevin Blakely (Senior EVP and Chief Risk Officer Huntington Bancshares )

Managing enterprise risk in a technology driven world requires the evolution of risk management practices to properly incorporate the benefits, capabilities and challenges created by technology. Business leaders are often quick to leverage existing and emerging technologies, but often do not understand or account for the risks that are created until it is too late. For all of these reasons, it is important to include technology as part of an organization's Enterprise Risk Management activities, ensuring both its benefits and risks are recognized and managed.

Kevin Blakely, the Chief Risk Officer of Huntington Bank, will provide his perspective at incorporating technology risk into the portfolio of enterprise risks he manages every day. He will also provide insights into his views of how organizations will need to evolve their enterprise risk capabilities to embrace technology for all of its benefits while accurately factoring in the risks it creates into an Enterprise Risk Management program.
